Dartmouth High Students may get four years of either French, Latin or Portuguese. Many students go on to major in one of these languages. Besides using slides and records, the teachers use the modern language lab to make learning a foreign language interesting and easier.

Physical education, stressing strength and coordination, is an important part of the D. H. S. program. All students are required to take the Physical Fitness Tests. They also participate in calisthenics, tumbling, track, basketball, baseball, and several other sports.
