The Art Department this past year moved into the newly equipped art room. Here, the excellent program allows the students to develop their interests and skills by working on projects ranging from sculpturing to painting with Cutex swabs. Their hard work is very visible in the decorations at the Dartmouth High concerts and stage shows.
ART, MUSIC, LIBRARY
MUSIC
The Music Department, headed by Mr. Edmond H. DesRosiers, has provided much entertainment for everyone. Each year we have enjoyed our fine marching and concert bands as well as the orchestra and choruses. There is a great deal of rehearsing before a performance, but each has been presented with great success. We shall always remember "Mr. D." and his fine music department.
LIBRARY
The Dartmouth High School Library, enlarged and improved with research facilities and areas for student and faculty conferences, is open six periods a day and before and after school. Books, reference works, periodicals, and newspapers are available for assignment and casual reading. An average of five hundred students a day use the services offered them in the library.
