Brad & Rosie

A note from Jo-Ann Sagat Regarding Rosie and Brad’s Funeral

The funeral was sad, and so are the facts.

The 23 year old that hit them actually crossed the median strip and ran over Brad, who was pinned under the bike and killed instantly, being pulled out instants before it exploded.  Rosie was thrown and went into a coma, dying after two hours without ever regaining consciousness.

It seems  as if the girl was busy talking and texting on her cell phone; she had been involved in this conversation for at least 45 minutes according to the police, who found her cell phone on the car floor with the text message she was typing still on it.  She has an attorney on retainer, who she called from the rescue and who met her at the hospital ( what 23 year old do you know that has an attorney on their cell phone and can get them that quickly on a holiday unless they have problems, which I hear she had - being fired from a job for stealing some kind of drugs.)  Anyway, she didn't even get hurt but two people, two good people, are dead.  The wake and funeral were very sad.  I thought I would have seen more people from the Rodeo there, but I was the only one as far as I know.  So please, just spread the word to everyone you know not to text while driving; this is a perfect thing to show them, that two great people are dead because of the inattention that resulted from texting behind the wheel. Maybe the more we spread the word, the more people will pay attention to this before someone else gets killed due to no fault of their own.
